Halloween 2017: Best Celebrity Hair and Makeup Looks

Beauty, fashion, Hair, Makeup / October 30, 2017 / Off

With professional hair and makeup teams always by their side, it’s no surprise that the celeb set goes above and beyond when it comes to Halloween. We’ve already found plenty of frighteningly fun ideas on our Instagram feeds before October 31st even arrived. From gory blood-stained looks that kind of grossed us out to Old Hollywood-inspired glam, check out the best Halloween hair and makeup combos we spotted in the days leading up to the big night. Plus, keep checking back to see how your favorite musicians, models, actors and actresses are turning it up leading up to tomorrow.

1. Sara Sampaio

Anyone attending the same Halloween party as model Sara Sampaio should probably just give up now (luckily for us, that probably won’t be a problem). Though we’re used to seeing her look impossibly gorgeous on the Victoria’s Secret runway, Sara transformed herself with not one, but two terrifying costumes. Makeup artist Chelsea Giannone created plastic surgery-gone-wrong and Little Red Riding Hood looks scary enough to give you nightmares.

2. Kaia Gerber

Going the complete opposite route, model Kaia Gerber’s ’70s costume was simply stunning. Dressed in a shimmering disco top, makeup artist Anthony Nguyen created the glittery smoky eye to match, while hairstylist Peter Savic gave her a retro blonde wig with bangs.

3. Karlie Kloss

Sticking to the retro theme, model Karlie Kloss played up her current platinum hair color by dressing as the ultimate blonde bombshell — Marilyn Monroe. Lacy Redway made sure Karlie’s hair was styled into Marilyn’s signature curls and makeup artist Patrick Ta added a more modern feel to the makeup by pairing Marilyn’s go-to red lip with majorly highlighted cheekbones.

4. Rita Ora

From the red wig to the green ivy eye accents, Rita Ora covered all of her bases for her Poison Ivy costume at the KISS House Party Live in London.

5. Dua Lipa

Also in attendance was singer Dua Lipa, who dressed as the most glam Lydia Deetz we’ve ever seen. Adding bangs to her usual dark hair, Dua’s makeup artist Francesca Brazzo got the goth-girl look down with hollowed cheekbones and an orange-yellow smoky eye that tied into her red dress.

6. Josephine Skriver

We aren’t exactly sure what Josephine Skriver dressed as, but it was definitely terrifying. Makeup artist Morgane Martini gave the model ghostly pale skin with dark under eye circles to rival the most sleep deprived, and cuts across her forehead for an even creepier effect.

7. Kim and Kourtney Kardashian

The Kardashian sisters took couples costumes to the next level by going as Michael Jackson and Madonna at the 1991 Academy Awards.

8. Ellie Goulding

Proving that dressing as a Hollywood icon can never fail, singer Ellie Goulding nailed this Dolly Parton look with her volumized blonde curls, bold red lip, and sparkly accents.

9. Shay Mitchell

It may have been a last-minute costume according to the caption on her pic, but Shay Mitchell and her friend didn’t skimp on the scare factor.

10. Adele

Even Adele couldn’t get over her dramatic hair and makeup. The singer shared this close-up picture of herself, which showed just how intense her eye makeup was with its double-winged liner and glittery shadow.
